Turbine Vents

  Turbine vents use a series of specially shaped vanes to catch the wind and provide rotary motion; this motion pulls hot and humid air from the attic. Turbine vents provide a low-cost ventilation alternative in areas where wind speeds of at least 5 mph are typical.

These" whirlybirds", as they are also known, have the following standard features:

  • Permanently lubricated upper and lower ball bearings ensuring long life and no maintenance.

  • All-aluminum construction.

  • 21 air-foil curved vanes with rolled vane edges to deflect water.

  • Vari-pitch base adjusts to 12/12 roof pitch.

  • Large flashing for easy installation.

  • Tested to withstand winds of 147 m.p.h.
